SERVICIOS

Trades, tools and knowledge at the service of other projects

In addition to our educational and community work, at Taller Lumpen we practice a range of trades related to street art, popular graphic design, and communication in public spaces. Through these services, we collaborate with communities, organizations, artists, cultural projects, and other initiatives that seek to communicate an idea, strengthen a cause, or transform a space.

We are interested in working through dialogue and developing each project according to its context. We don't operate like an advertising agency, nor do we accept commissions. We prioritize collaborations that align with our principles, respect artistic work, and allow us to contribute our skills to cultural, educational, and community initiatives. The income generated through these projects also helps support Taller Lumpen's space and projects.

Poster and graphic design

We design posters and graphic materials for events, cultural activities, campaigns, causes, and community initiatives. Our work is rooted in the tradition of the poster as a tool for public communication: an image that informs but also takes a stand, sparks conversation, builds collective memory, and circulates beyond digital spaces.

We create materials for cultural events, educational campaigns, social causes, community organizations, calls for participation, gatherings, publications, and special projects.

Each collaboration begins with a conversation about the piece’s purpose, its target audience, where it will be distributed, and the message we want to convey.

WORKSHOP

We offer graffiti and street art workshops based on a participatory, community-based, and place-responsive educational approach. Each experience is tailored to the ages, needs, goals, realities, and resources of our hosts. Rather than simply replicating the same workshop in different locations, we develop processes that respond to the specific context of each group.

We currently conduct workshops for communities, children and youth, and social justice organizations and groups, as well as individual projects and artist residencies. Workshop topics range from an initial exploration of graffiti materials and techniques to processes involving site analysis, street graphics, stenciling, poster making, community interventions, and tactical urbanism.

Hand-painted signs and facades

Before commercial signage largely shifted to digital prints, banners, and adhesive vinyl, the facades of our towns and neighborhoods served as canvases for sign painters, artists, and graphic designers.

At Taller Lumpen, we are committed to continuing the practice of this craft and learning from it.

We hand-paint signs, lettering, numbers, graphics, and facades for small businesses, community spaces, cultural projects, and other initiatives. We work directly on walls, wood, metal, and other surfaces, tailoring each piece to the architecture, identity, and specific needs of the space.

We are particularly drawn to hand-painted signage because it preserves something that industrial reproduction methods tend to erase: the human touch, the unique characteristics of each surface, and the potential for every sign to be a one-of-a-kind piece deeply connected to its location.

This service also helps keep alive a craft that is an integral part of the graphic and visual history of our towns.

Let's work together

Each request is evaluated individually. The cost and scope of services depend on the type of project, production time, materials, dimensions, location, and complexity of the work.

If you have an activity, cause, space, or project and think any of these tools could contribute to what you're building, please write to us. Briefly tell us what you need, where it will take place, the dates you have in mind, and any other information that will help us understand the project.

From there we can discuss possibilities, availability and budget.
